Etudes News: September 2026

Hello to all the new students, and a big welcome back to those returning! Classes kick off on September 8, and I'm really excited for another year of awesome piano progress.

I am super excited to have so many Beethoven Buddies joining this year. Students will need a copy of the Beethoven Buddies book and an instrument at home for practice.

There are a few more Beethoven Buddies spots available so please share the word! 📢📣📢

Invoices

Invoices will be emailed out on September 3rd. Usually, invoices are mailed on the 1st of the month and payment is due by 7th of the month. However, September invoices are emailed late, so payment is due by September 12th.

​You can pay by Zelle, PayPal, debit/credit card or by check at the first in-person lesson of the month. Note that you do NOT need a PayPal account to pay through PayPal - just click the link on the bottom of the invoice.

Studio Policy & Allergy/Media Form

If you haven't already done so, please take time to read through the Studio Policy and to complete the Allergy/Media form so we can keep everyone safe.

In-Person Classes

In-Person classes take place at:
​Nichols Bethel Church,1239 Murray Road, Odenton, MD 21113

The entrance is at the back of the building through Door #1. Follow the signs to room 205 upstairs where the lessons are held.

Online Classes

Online students should take time to find the "Original Sound" setting in Zoom on their device. This needs to be turned on to prevent Zoom from suppressing the piano as background sound. Please have it turned on at the start of the lesson so that I will be able to hear your piano. 🙏

Lesson Feedback

We all get more email than we can possibly read! I won't be overwhelming your inboxes this year. You'll simply get a newsletter and an invoice email at the beginning of the month.

​If your child is not practicing/progressing well, I'll reach out by text. If you don't hear anything from me, it means your child is doing wonderfully. 😇
